After the three months long ice-age of job hunting, I finally got a job this week!!


I toasted for myself with E.

It's a nursing assistant position at rehabilitation unit in a hospital.
It's my first time to work this field, and sounds like there are a lot of things I can learn there. Thinking about my career and present goal, it must be significant experience for me.

I had my phone interview today.
They liked me as far as that interview, and I can have in-person interview tomorrow!! I'll keep trying to do my best.
Sounds like a wind storm is coming here tomorrow. I hope it won't hinder me....

By the way, there was E's birthday last week.

.... I missed spacing between 'happy' and 'birthday'.......

E's siblings came down here, and we celebrated him together.
We were going to eat out, but I decided to make pizza!
It was my first trial, and it was a little bit doughy..... but it still tasted good (I thought).
E's brother & sister brought us some salad and a birthday cake. Thank you:)
It was really fun, and I really enjoyed this party.

I've taken a nursing exam which is for nurses in foreign countries in Vancouver B.C. last week. Though I reviewed so hard previous time, I'm not sure I made it..... it's done anyways. I'm now going to focus on study for TOEFL...



I tool a walk with E the other day. While I was working on a desk, leaves had changed their colors.

How beautiful colors they are!

We also decided to have some plants our space too.

E chose a lavender and two ground covers, and I chose this cute little stepables:)


Tomorrow I eventually have a telephone interview! I have no idea how many competitors are there, and I just try to do my best on a phone...... on a phone...........

I still keep applying for jobs at several places....
At the same time, I've been studying for nursing exam and TOEFL.
TOEFL really makes me worry... especially speaking part.
I know I shouldn't be hurry, but wondering when I achieve my present goal sometimes makes me a little nervous...

My mom sent me some Mochi(rice cake).
I then decided Ozo-ni, which is one of the Japanese traditional meals around New Year's Day.



Osechi is very formal meal for New Year's Day, and this is what people eat after they are fed up with Osechi.
Although E had tried sweet Mochi before, it was his first time to try basic Mochi(I couldn't believe it... how come I haven't had him before...)
Since its chewy texture and no flavor, he didn't like it so much...........
Anyways, I was very happy with this. Thanks mom!
